The Leadership Incubator Process is the backbone of SLI’s work and forms the core of virtually all the different types of projects we do. It incorporates the covenant-based Loving, Learning, and Leading (L3) framework to create a transformative environment which allows the work of the Spirit to flourish. It also gives spiritual leaders the tools to help their ministry stay on track. Once new teamwork begins to function then the current context is assessed, the focus is clarified, and the team begins to build systems and strategies to facilitate the journey towards generative ministry.
The SLI process takes ministries right where they are, clears away obstacles to the Spirit’s work, and helps called Spiritual Leaders faithfully journey together improving with each month and year that goes by.
Our Leadership Incubator for local churches is designed to help churches become healthy, and generative. If your church is already growing the incubator prepares you for your next steps. If the congregation is in plateau or decline, we can help you reinvent or restart your ministry. We have many wonderful stories of leaders finding unity, risking transformation, and overcoming the obstacles that seemed impossible.
The largest percentage of churches within the U.S. have a single pastor (full or part-time) and minimal other paid staff. We developed a special version of the Incubator called ABIDE that is targeted specifically to such ministries. ABIDE gives teams from multiple Small Membership Churches the opportunity to examine the process in two retreats before committing to the yearlong Incubator. The goal of ABIDE is: Congregations Abiding in Christ, Advancing God’s Mission, and Alive in God’s Glory.
We have experience helping denominational groups become trusted and effective. We have seen large disconnected denominational groups become connected and effective teams in remarkably short amounts of time.
We are just beginning to offer our Leadership Incubator and related services in areas outside of the U.S. We are adopting technology and our processes to support and resource ministry leaders across vast distances.
